Calendar & poem exhibition hits The Boat and the High Tops!

10th January 2005

It’s the turn of CairnGorm Mountain and the village of Boat of Garten to host the Cairngorms National Park Authority’s (CNPA) exhibition of winning poems and photographs, collated as a result of the calendar competition organised by the CNPA earlier in the year.

The calendar competition invited amateur photographers to submit their best images of the Cairngorms National Park and the poetry element asked local schoolchildren to write down their thoughts on what they love about the area.

As a result the Cairngorms National Park 2005 calendar is a showcase of images showing the beauty of the Cairngorms and the diversity of life within in it. The accompanying poems describe the Park’s special qualities with topics ranging from the weather and landscape to the Park’s wildlife and sports.

The exhibitions can be viewed in the Day Lodge at CairnGorm Mountain from now until 15 January, while a second display can be viewed at the Boat of Garten village hall from Monday 27 December up to Hogmany.
