Celebrating Life in the National Park

26th March 2004

Photography competition

Cairngorms National Park is celebrating life in the Cairngorms – and we want you to join us.

Later this year we will be producing a special National Park calendar showing all  aspects of life in the National Park, from sports to landscape, from work to play. And we know that living and working in the Cairngorms there are thousands of talented photographers – and we want to tap into that wealth of talent to illustrate our 2005 calendar.

So we are offering prizes for the 12 best photographs to be included in the calendar. You could win a £50 voucher to spend on photographic equipment if your picture is selected for the calendar.

All you have to do is send us a photograph showing an aspect of life in the Cairngorms. It could be one of the spectacular views, it could be someone at work, it could be the glorious wildlife or it could illustrate leisure time in the Cairngorms anything that you think sums up life in the Cairngorms National Park.

To enter, send your photograph, either a print or digital image, with a completed entry form, to:

Maureen Ferrier, Cairngorms National Park Authority, 14 The Square, Grantown-on-Spey. PH26 3HG to reach us by April 30, 2004. Digital photographs should be sent on a CD, or floppy disk. You can also send your digital photograph as an attachment to [email protected].

Prizewinners will be announced in May and prizes will be presented in September.
