Consultations

As a public sector body we are always interested in your views and we have a duty to ensure that when decisions are made they take into account the views of local communities and other communities of interest.

Public Consultations

We welcome people’s views about the Park and our work and carry out a number of public consultations on a variety of topics. Consultations that are currently underway include:

Advisory Forums

In order to let a wide range of people express their views about how the Cairngorms National Park is managed, and about the work of the Park Authority, a number of forums have been put in place. View the Advisory forums page.

Community Engagement Standards

In 2006 the CNPA decided to explore the use of the National Standards for Community Engagement to guide our own approaches to community engagement. Following consultation, a more user-friendly version of the Standards was drawn up and subsequently endorsed by the CNPA board. These seek to promote good practice in community engagement and ensure that people know what they can expect in relation to our community engagement activities.

Open evenings, CNPA meetings and events

You can also meet with our board members and staff on a more informal basis by coming along to one of our opening evenings or events.
