Get the app to decide who gets your vote!

27th February 2015

The race is on to be elected to the board of the Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA) with all the candidates having been announced and postal ballot papers dropping through letter boxes this week.

And, in a first for the CNPA elections – and The Highland Council, who manage the process – voters can download the new Candidate App, which allows people to access information on the candidates, read each of their statements and keep up to date with what’s happening.

There are contests taking place in four out of the five wards in the Park, with Eleanor MacKintosh returning to represent Ward Four unopposed.

For a full list of the candidates standing for election, please go to The Highland Council website: www.highland.gov.uk/cnpa

The CNPA board is made up of seven members appointed by the five local authorities covering the Park area, seven directly appointed by Scottish Government Ministers and five are directly elected by the eligible voters within the Park.
