Job Title:  Planning Officer: Development Management

Salary: £28,770 – £34,633 (Band D) plus excellent benefits such as flexitime, generous annual leave and a defined pension scheme to name just a few

Contract: Permanent

Working Hours: Monday- Friday (37.5 hours per week)

Location: National Park Headquarters, Grantown on Spey

We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Officer: Development Management to join our team; this is a great opportunity to join a fast paced and high performing organisation at a truly exciting time for Scotland’s National Parks.

This post provides support to the Development Management function of the Directorate.  The post holder will undertake work requiring good planning judgement in relation to planning applications, pre-application advices, appeals, monitoring and enforcement. The successful candidate will have a recognised degree or equivalent in Town and Country Planning, will be eligible for Membership of the RTPI and have up to date knowledge of planning legislation and current practice. They will also have recent extensive working experience of development management, including presenting to Committees.
