The Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA) has received the Scottish Government Reporter’s recommendations on its proposed Local Development Plan (LDP).
Officers are now studying the detail of the 432 page-long report and will present the modifications to the Planning Committee in November for approval.
Once approved, the Local Development Plan, modifications and all the supporting materials will be sent to Scottish Ministers and it is expected the Plan will be formally adopted by the CNPA in February 2015.
Murray Ferguson, Director of Planning and Rural Development at the CNPA said: “We welcome the Reporter’s conclusions and will consider carefully all their recommendations before we take the modifications to the Committee in November. The development of the Plan has involved consultation with communities, businesses and interest groups all across the Park and I look forward to its adoption early next year.
“The Plan will play a key part in creating the National Park we all want by getting the right development in the right place, by promoting investment, by protecting and enhancing the natural and cultural environment and by creating places that we will value and enjoy.”
