Celebrate Cairngorms Nature
Have you been inspired by the BBC’s Springwatch programme or been curious about an animal you've seen whilst walking in the Cairngorms National Park?
The Cairngorms Nature Festival is held every May and is an opportunity for everyone to see first-hand the unique nature of the Cairngorms National Park.
This year, events happened from Angus to Highland and it was a fun-packed weekend for all the family attracting hundreds of people on the many walks and activities that took place.
Families at the Muir of Dinnet National Nature Reserve had fun with Mud Pie adventures in Burn ‘O Vat and a foraging walk with Willow Lohr. Aviemore Youth Hostel was the venue for ‘Discover Nature’ with pond dipping and nature crafts and Glenmore was the hub for a range of walks and talks.
