Job Title: Planning Officer

Salary: £26,598 – £37,844 (Band C/D) plus excellent benefits such as flexitime, generous annual leave and a defined pension scheme to name just a few

Contract: 3 Year Fixed Term Contract

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Location: Grantown on Spey

We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning Officer to join the Planning Team.

The successful applicant will contribute, as part of a small team, to an efficient and effective Planning Service by delivering and improving the technical and administrative processes associated with planning and undertaking planning casework.

This is a career graded post. Demonstrable experience of working with planning caseload would support appointment immediately to band D (salary scale £31,438 – £37,844).  Alternatively, the post is suitable for a recent graduate, starting at a graduate level salary band C, (salary scale £26,598 – £31,115), but subject to ongoing performance and organisational need, there is scope to work through the graduate role upwards into a Planning Officer level role (band D). Movement onto band D grading will be subject to appraisal reviews of performance and experience gained.
