Cairngorms

Land Based Businesses to get training support

8th July 2004

People working the land in the Cairngorms National Park are being encouraged to apply for funding from the Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA) – in partnership with the European Social fnd (ESF) – to help pay for training.

In addition to providing funding for training, the project provides support and assistance with training by helping to identify training needs, finding trainers and courses to meet those needs and finding others interested in the same training to make up course numbers.  The scheme can also help to influence course dates and venues to suit the location and time commitments unique to land based businesses and will monitor the training being provided to ensure high quality courses run by good trainers.

Those working on estates, farms, crofts, forests, nurseries – in fact any business related to the management or use of the land – can apply to this scheme, which will part-fund a variety of training solutions.

For more information on the project and how to access the funding, contact Kate Christie, Land Based Business Project Manager at CNPA on 01479 870535 or email – [email protected].
