Intention to Adopt LDP 2020

The Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA) has given notice that it intends to adopt the Proposed Cairngorms National Park Local Development Plan 2020.

The Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA) has given notice that it intends to adopt the Proposed Cairngorms National Park Local Development Plan 2020. The Proposed Plan has been modified following the Examination of the Plan by the Scottish Government’s Directorate for Planning and Environmental Appeals (DPEA) during 2020. The documents were submitted to Scottish Ministers on November 24th 2020.

Twenty-eight days after this date, the authority may adopt the plan unless directed not to by the Scottish Ministers. Scottish Ministers have a default power under Section 20 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 to direct the planning authority to consider modifying a LDP, or for Scottish Ministers to approve the plan themselves. Ministers expect they will rarely use this power.

In line with the Coronavirus (Scotland) Act 2020, paper copies of the Plan as modified are not being made publicly available. However the modified Plan and all other submission materials are made available on this page.
