The Local Development Plan 2020 will guide development in the Cairngorms National Park over the period 2020-2025 and into the longer term.

Next Steps
The Proposed Plan and consultation responses, along with the National Park Authority’s response to them, will then be submitted to Scottish Ministers who will appoint an independent Reporter to carry out an Examination into any unresolved objections to the Plan. At the end of the process, the Reporter will publish an Examination Report, which will set out a list of recommended modifications to the Plan.

Having received the Examination Report, the CNPA must modify the Local Development Plan in line with the Reporter’s recommendations before formally adopting it.
