In 2011 the Aviemore & Vicinity Community Council were awarded funding to create a park on the banks of the River Spey.  Close to the post you'll see some of the 3000 riparian trees that have been planted by the local community, with help from the Spey Catchment Initiative, Woodland Trust and Cairngorms National Park Authority.
