Terms & conditions

Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of the competition rules and the terms and conditions.

Rules

  1. It is free to take part, the organisers are Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA)
  2. The competition is open to people living in the UK over the age of 18 at the closing date midday 6th May 2022. 
  3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
  4. The prize is 2 night’s stay in a Badaguish camping pod arriving on the 13th May and checking out on the 15th May and a 3-course dinner for 2 at MacDonald Aviemore Resort, choose from their signature restaurant Aspects or Giovanni’s Italian, complimentary bottle of wine included. No alternatives to the prize will be offered.
  5. All entries must be received by midday 6 May no late submissions will be considered. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  6. The language used in the submission must be English.
  7. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  8. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
  9.  Winners will be chosen at random by software from all entries received and verified by CNPA
  10. Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are via the Cairngorms Nature BIG Weekend website.

How to Submit

Entries can be submitted through the online form, found on the Cairngorms Nature BIG Weekend website.

  1. A maximum of one entry per person will be permitted, no bulk or third-party entries.
  2. The entrant must provide their name, email address and contact number for the entry to be valid.
  3. Incomplete entries or entries that do not comply with the formal specifications will be automatically disqualified.

  1. By participating in this competition, the entrant confirms and warrants that:
  2. a) They are over the age of 18
  3. b) They agree to the terms and conditions
  4. CNPA’s privacy statement applies to all personal data collected during the submission of entries for the competition. CNPA is the data controller for this project.

To make a request please write to the Data Protection Officer giving us your name and contact details and a description of the data you want to see. We will respond as soon as we can and by 30 days after your request at the latest. We might ask you to provide some form of identification so we don’t give data about you to the wrong person by mistake.

How long we keep your data

When the competition closes, we will confirm a winner, and send all entries a follow up email to announce the winner. After this, unless you choose to opt in to further communications, we will delete your personal data.

Announcement of winners

  1. CNPA will contact the winner on 6 May 2022.
  2. a) Winners will be contacted by email and phone and will need to confirm their acceptance of the prize within two hours of notification or another winner will be selected. We will repeat this process as necessary with a 2 hour response window until a winner is confirmed.
  3. b) After confirmation, the winner will be announced on the Cairngorms Nature BIG Weekend website and on social media.
  4. The shortlisted finalists and winner may be asked to offer support to promotional activities related to the competition. This is not compulsory but strongly encouraged.
  5. The prizes non-negotiable, non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged.
