210514 Finance Cttee Paper 2AA Budget Update V02

This document contains an update on the Cairngorms National Park Authority's 2021/22 budget, which was approved in March 2021. The Finance and Delivery Committee has been asked to note the update, which includes year-end financial management and payroll costs for April. There is an additional £34,000 available to support strategic objectives, but redistribution decisions are not proposed at this stage. Work is underway to reconfigure working arrangements as the Authority moves out of Business Continuity Planning around COVID19, and additional resources will be held as contingency cover for priority organisational development work. The approved staff budget for 2020/21 was £4,102,000, and the month 1 salary costs were £314,600. Finally, confirmation of the 2021/22 settlement for Peatland Recovery is still to be received.
