Self-build housing

Rolling hills of the Glenisla landscape

You don't have to have any construction experience to build your own house. In most cases starting a self-build means getting experienced workers to build your house for you.

The Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997, requires local planning authorities to “prepare and maintain” a list of anyone interested in acquiring land for self-build across the authority’s area.

If you are interested in self-build, please complete the register.
