LDP Developer Obligations Supplementary Guidance

This document contains supplementary guidance for Policy 11 of the Cairngorms National Park Local Development Plan (LDP) 2021, which applies to all planning applications within the Cairngorms National Park. It outlines how developer contributions may be required to address the impact of new developments on local infrastructure and facilities, like roads, schools, and healthcare. Developers may need to contribute to affordable housing, education, healthcare, community and leisure facilities, transport, and natural heritage. The amount and type of contribution will depend on the development's size, location, and impact, as well as guidance from local authorities; if a developer believes the required contributions make a project unviable, they can submit a Viability Assessment.
