Deer cull subsidy scheme

The scheme, with a budget of £40,000 to £60,000 for the 2025/26 financial year, provides subsidies to owners or occupiers who meet specific cull targets for red deer hinds and calves, with the goal of incentivizing increased deer cull levels to mitigate environmental damage and support sustainable deer density. The Cairngorms National Park Authority will monitor and report on the scheme's impacts.
