Latest Lockdown Survey Results Slide Deck

This document contains key findings from a Lockdown Impacts Survey conducted by VisitAberdeenshire in January 2021. The survey, which had a sample size of 145 businesses in the region, focused on the impacts of the lockdown that began on 5 January 2021. The survey found that over 7 in 10 businesses were located in Aberdeenshire, with self-catering and hotels being the top responding sectors. Most businesses had to cancel business due to the lockdown, with a total cancelled business value of £1.78 million. Many businesses experienced temporary closures and staff furloughs and many businesses had received cancellations for the period of 1 February to 19 April. Overall, the businesses were not very optimistic about the next 3 months with a vast majority stating that business survival/closure and criticism of financial support as final comments.
