CNPA Plan­ning Com­mit­tee Site Vis­it – Fri­day 10 Octo­ber at 10 am

Plan­ning Applic­a­tion 2025/0104/DET: Realign­ment of 400m of River Tromie at Land 670M NW Of Dell of Kil­liehuntly Farm­house Kingussie

Pur­pose The pur­pose of this site vis­it is to help Plan­ning Com­mit­tee Mem­bers to view the route of the pro­posed realign­ment, the site con­text and the rela­tion­ship to Inver­tromie Stead­ing. Inform­a­tion on the applic­a­tion is avail­able with­in the Com­mit­tee Report of 29 August 2025, and all accom­pa­ny­ing doc­u­ments are avail­able on the CNPA web­site. The applic­a­tion is due to be con­sidered again at the Plan­ning Com­mit­tee Meet­ing of 14 Novem­ber 2025.

Advice and require­ments for the day:

1. Fol­low the instruc­tions of the Con­vener and the Plan­ning Officer lead­ing the site visit.

3. A risk assess­ment has been pre­pared for the site vis­it and par­tic­u­lar care is required by par­ti­cipants to ensure they are appro­pri­ately dressed for cold/​wet weath­er and wet/​watery ground con­di­tions – wear­ing water­proof cloth­ing and wel­ling­tons will be required.
4. Plan­ning Com­mit­tee Mem­bers to meet at 10 am at the Duke of Gor­don Hotel Kin­gussie where they will be con­veyed to the site in 4 x 4 vehicles.
5. Mem­bers of the pub­lic must make their own arrange­ments for travel to and from the site vis­it and will require to walk down the fields to the site at their own risk.
6. Meet­ing point will be at Inver­tromie Stead­ings at 10.15 am — please note there is lim­ited park­ing there, with some park­ing at the top of the track.

Itin­er­ary 10.00 Com­mit­tee mem­bers to meet at the Duke of Gor­don Hotel Kin­gussie to be con­veyed to site in 4 x 4 vehicles provided by CNPA and applic­ants. Oth­er site vis­it par­ti­cipants to assemble at Inver­tromie Stead­ings and make own arrange­ments to get there.

10.15 Com­mit­tee mem­bers will stop at Inver­tromie Stead­ing where any oth­er site vis­it par­ti­cipants will have assembled. Com­mit­tee mem­bers will be con­veyed to the applic­a­tion site in 4 x 4 vehicles. Oth­er par­ti­cipants will require to walk down the field to the site.

10.20 Plan­ning Com­mit­tee Con­ven­or and Plan­ning Officer will brief all par­ti­cipants on the pur­pose and arrange­ments for site vis­it. Plan­ning Officer will point out rel­ev­ant fea­tures and site vis­it will begin.

11.00 approx Com­mit­tee mem­bers will be con­veyed in cars to oppos­ite riverb­ank to devel­op­ment site at Kil­liehuntly to view site from there.

11.45 Site vis­it ends and plan­ning com­mit­tee mem­bers will con­sider the applic­a­tion at the forth­com­ing com­mit­tee meet­ing on Fri­day 14 Novem­ber in CNPA offices Grant­own on Spey
