Visitor Infrastructure Improvement Programme

This document contains details about the Cairngorms National Park Authority's Visitor Infrastructure Improvement Programme, a fund created to help plan and install appropriate visitor infrastructure within the Park. The Authority can provide funding for up to 70% of total project costs, with a maximum contribution of £100,000, though higher amounts might be possible in special situations. This programme aims to improve visitor experiences, manage their impact, and enhance access for everyone, including people who are disabled, by supporting objectives like welcoming visitors, stabilising numbers, and improving access networks. Expressions of Interest opened on 25 February 2026 and will close on 27 March 2026, with full applications accepted between 6 April and 4 May 2026.
