Cairngorms Tourism Partnership
The Cairngorms Tourism Partnership (CTP) was established in 2014 and brings together tourism businesses and organisations with key public sector partners.
Meetings are generally held three times a year. The remit of the partnership includes:
- Drawing up and overseeing the implementation of a Sustainable Tourism Action Plan to set agreed priorities for the development and marketing of tourism.
- Input to the national tourism strategy and review of local alignment.
- Securing resources to ensure effective delivery of the Area Tourism Partnership Plan.
- Acting, where appropriate, as a lobbying body to further the interests of local tourism, hospitality and leisure industries.
- Acting as a link between public and private sectors.
- Acting as a vehicle to engage the industry.
- Promoting the importance of economic, environmental, and social sustainability as a key consideration in all discussions and delivery.
The tourism partnership consists of representatives from the following agencies and organisations:
- Aberdeenshire Council
- Angus Tourism
- Cairngorms Business Partnership (CBP)
- Cairngorms National Park Authority
- GrowBiz
- Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE)
- Landmark Forest Adventure Park
- RSPB Scotland
- The Highland Council
- VisitAberdeenshire
- VisitScotland
- Voluntary Action Badenoch and Strathspey (VABS)

The new fire byelaw
How the Cairngorms National Park Authority and its partners are tackling the threat of wildfires, including details on the recreational fire management byelaw, in place from 1 April to 30 September each year.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has issued a wildfire warning impacting areas of the National Park on Friday 29 May until Monday 1 June. If you are out and about in the Cairngorms National Park please observe the following guidance:
- Do not light any fire or barbecue, in line with the new fire byelaw
- Always ensure cigarettes are fully extinguished and take your litter (including glass) away with you
- Enjoy the outdoors responsibly - most wildfires are caused by human activity
- Stay alert - with dry vegetation and warm weather, fires can start easily, spread rapidly, and burn intensely
- If you see a wildfire, dial 999
