QUARTERLY UPDATE
The third quarter of the year has been busy with projects and re-establishing contacts with local businesses, business associations and other potential donators to the Trust. We were sucessful in gaining £1,000 donation from Yeokens, this will show in the next update.
The Osprey nest for the Osprey Village project has changed designer and supplier for the interpretation and have been making small steps forward with getting it into place. They continue to hold successful volunteer days at the site and have more plans for the willow weaving project.
The 2021 Cairngorms Green Recovery Fund Projects are all making good progress. See details below for the projects that CT have supported.
RCTC funding has started well with both the Green Change Fund and the Youth LAG getting going. TICK, cycling project brought to a close, and we are currently looking at future models for the bikes usage. The Transport Hub is being installed in Aviemore mid November.
LOOKING FORWARD
Looking forward to the next quarter, there is a need to continue marketing and increasing the visibility of the Cairngorms Trust as well as continuing to contact and increasing local businesses who have a knowledge about us. This has already increased the donations coming into the charity via the website and facebook, this will show on the next update.
The GRF2021 projects will continue and regular updates will be requested from each of the projects to ensure they are progressing as planned.
Green Change Fund Projects will start this process with a view to finishing on or before the 31st March. The guidance and supporting documents for the 3 new campaign funds in the fields of Nature, Infrastructure and Youth are now written and ready to go when it is deemed appropriate timing.
Funding applications for core funding will continue to look at increasing the time available for fundraising and marketing activities.

CAMPAIGN PROJECT
An Osprey Nest for the Osprey Village
CAIRNGORMS TRUST GIVE PROTECT GROW
The Osprey Nest for the Osprey Village project in Boat of Garten is still in the same position and has almost finished. They have changed designers for the interpretation and once that is in place they will draw down their final claim from us. They are hoping that the first of the panels will be in place around the end of November. The project has been a real success within the village with increasing numbers of young families visiting the site, playing in the willow sculpture and enjoying the transformation of the area.
The Boat of Garten Wildlife Group are continuing to develop the project following our involvement and have continued to develop the site, including siting benches and seating for visitors to the willow ark. They continue to organise community volunteer days at the site. The last was to re- weave the willow ark and tidy the woodland path for the winter months.
