Celebration Event – This was a successful event with good variety of speakers throughout the afternoon. It was a good opportunity to see how much of an impact the Cairngorms Trust has on each of the organisations, charities and individuals that we support. The raffle created an opportunity for donations to the Trust. Thanks to all the businesses and individuals who supported the raffle. Thanks also to Sue Emery and Jennifer for helping organise the event.

AUGUST 2024 QUARTERLY UPDATE
AUGUST 2024
Fundraising – Events completed June 2nd Aberdeen Kiltwalk and raffle raised £458.97 after Just Giving fees.
I would really appreciate trustees thinking about events that they might attend or encourage others to on behalf of the Cairngorms Trust to raise additional funds for projects.
You can see from the business plan that we are hoping to raise £10,000 this financial year increasing to £20,000 25⁄26 and £30,000 26⁄27. To do this I will need support from all trustees. Support might be in promoting events through your own networks online and offline, it might be attending events on behalf of the Trust or suggesting or attend fundraising events for the Trust.
The Voluntary Giving Partnership Group has been very proactive and I am keen to capitalise on this and try to get some of the initiatives working well. There are a number of additional events running which I would be keen for trustees to promote / attend. 1st Sept – Greentown Show (Grantown on Spey) 18th & 19th Sept – ACE roadshow visits (18th Cairngorms Farmers event, 19th CNPA & Grantown event) Sept date TBC ACE Crowdfunder 13th Nov — Cairngorms Business Partnership (CBP) conference 14th Nov – LAG AGM and Meeting. Nov — Online raffle, launch date and draw date TBC Monthly visit to Ballater – TBC with CBP Brian will give a full update in his Voluntary Giving item on the agenda.
If there are local / Cairngorms wide events that you think we should be attending, please do be in touch with details and any offers of assistance at them.

ACE project update ACE bike project – The ACE project continues to flourish. Mikes Bikes continue to be a positive partner in the project and work well on the day to day running of the project.
All bikes are currently out on loan. The bikes previously identified for sale have been sold and the new bikes have been purchased.
The e‑trike is loaned out less and I have started conversations with Able 2 Adventure as to whether they might be able to use it when it is not in use with the ACE project. They are going to signpost some of their local groups to the project if appropriate.
See quarterly report for full details.
Please note that Mikes Bikes who run the ACE project for us have applied for CLV funding for an additionality project for young people to run alongside the ACE project.
