Title: Stra­tegic Risk Registers

Pur­pose

This paper sup­ports a review by the Com­mit­tee of the Park Authority’s stra­tegic risk man­age­ment position.

Recom­mend­a­tions

The Audit and Risk Com­mit­tee is asked to:

a) Con­sider the cov­er­age and adequacy of the Park Authority’s risk man­age­ment pos­i­tion as set out in both the:

i. strategic risk register and
ii. the Cairngorms 2030 programme risk register.

b) Advise on any gaps or amend­ments required.

Exec­ut­ive Summary

1. The Cairngorms Nation­al Park Authority’s most recent stra­tegic risk register, and stra­tegic risk man­age­ment pos­i­tion is set out in Annex 1. The register was last reviewed by the Exec­ut­ive Team on 23 Septem­ber 2024.

2. The Cairngorms 2030 pro­gramme risk register, and risk man­age­ment pos­i­tion is set out in Annex 2.

Con­clu­sion

1. The Com­mit­tee is invited to con­sider the cur­rent cov­er­age of the risk registers. The Committee’s views on the cur­rent status of both registers are welcomed.
