241122 Paper 3 Development Plan Scheme 2024

This document contains a paper for the Cairngorms National Park Authority Board, dated 22 November 2024, regarding the Local Development Plan – Development Plan Scheme 2024. The paper asks the Board to agree the updated Development Plan Scheme 2024, which is a communications tool to inform stakeholders about the next Local Development Plan and how to get involved. The Development Plan Scheme also includes a timetable and Participation Statement for the Local Development Plan preparation process. The Park Authority is expected to prepare and adopt its next Local Development Plan by around May 2028, and the Development Plan Scheme must be submitted to Scottish Ministers each year. The Park Authority also has a statutory duty to adopt and publish the Development Plan Scheme and will keep the Board updated on its progress.
