241122 Paper 4 Board Standing Orders Cover

This document contains an update to the Cairngorms National Park Authority's Standing Orders, which outline how the Park Authority's board and committee meetings should be run, as these rules were last reviewed in 2019. The board is being asked to consider and agree to the proposed changes, which include interim amendments to accommodate new ways of working and technological adaptations. In addition, the Park Authority's Code of Conduct has been updated to align with the Standards Commission for Scotland's new model Code for Non-Departmental Public Bodies. The updated Standing Orders are designed to ensure effective governance, open decision-making, and to reduce the risk of legal challenges. Supporting information, including amendments and the proposed final version of the document, are set out in the annexes.
