Boat of Garten Community Action Plan 2025

This document contains a community action plan for Boat of Garten, Scotland, looking ahead to 2030. The plan, compiled in spring 2025, is supported by local organisations like the Boat of Garten and Vicinity Community Council, the Community Hall, Deshar Primary Parent Council, and the Community Company. It was created with the help of Voluntary Action in Badenoch and Strathspey. The plan reviews and updates a previous version from 2018. Its goal is to tackle current issues, encourage community projects, and provide direction for local organisations, public sectors and private sectors. It compiles the views of residents gathered through a survey and a community event called the Boat of Garten Big Conversation, and it addresses several community themes: social connection, climate awareness, economic growth, youth support, and cultural vibrancy.
