Climate Adaptation Fund Guidance Note

This document contains guidance for the Cairngorms National Park Climate Adaptation Fund, a program set up by the Cairngorms National Park Authority to support lasting improvements and investments that help the area adapt to a changing climate. The fund focuses on three main principles: climate adaptation, using nature-based solutions (which are natural ways to tackle climate challenges), and strengthening the local economy. Individuals, businesses, and community groups can apply for grants, typically ranging from £20,000 to £100,000, for projects such as restoring habitats, preventing floods, managing wildfires, or reducing carbon emissions, all of which must be completed by 31 March 2027. To apply, you'll first need to submit an Expression of Interest form, and early contact with the Park Authority is encouraged to help develop your project idea.
