The Park Authority created an interactive map, using national guidelines, to see how well communities within the National Park connect to these essential services, keeping in mind that rural areas have unique needs due to their spread-out populations. The report shows that while larger towns have many services within easy reach, smaller communities often rely on connections to these bigger centres. This information, along with community feedback, will help guide future planning decisions to create sustainable, liveable communities with good facilities and active travel options.
