Comment Details Commenter Type: Neighbour Stance: Customer made comments in support of the Planning Application Comment Reasons: Comment:Comments from the Strathspey Railway Company SRC were made to Highland Council on 20−8−18 These are repeated as below
1 SRC support the application 2 Has a noise risk assessment proven the SRC trains will not pose a problem to the ward building. Trains ocassionally run in evenings . There are also operational needs for trains to use horns & sound whistles. It is noted this building is nearer to the SRC track than to Network Rail 3 SRC run a steam railway & there will be regular steam & smoke issues mainly however from trains leaving Aviemore heading North 4 SRC are pleased to note that the Network Rail rules applicable to adjacent construction work will apply to SRC & would ask this be made a condition 5 Any services taken below SRC’s tracks will need formal way leave agreement with SRC

Comment Details Commenter Type: Neighbour Stance: Customer made comments in support of the Planning Application Comment Reasons: Comment:The noise related comments made on 30/8/18 by SRC still apply. Although it is noted an acoustic survey has been carried out which seems to say the occasional noise from passing trains is not an issue the monitoring was not adjacent to the proposed Ward building
SRC have been approached in respect of the proposed sewer below their railway track & whilst this appears feasible there is no technical nor commercial agreement in place.
