Crom­dale was an area I con­sidered for hous­ing for my son who requires a bun­ga­low due to hav­ing epilepsy.Unfortunately there was no hous­ing avail­able. It will also cre­ate jobs for trades­men and bring income to the loc­al economy.

The improve­ments to the vil­lage can only be a good thing offer­ing more afford­able houses in the area. The idea of bring­ing a shop to the vil­lage would be great too. Crom­dale has great poten­tial if we could only tap into it and along with the his­tory let me this com­munity thrive. once the second phase is com­pleted hope­fully we will have new fam­il­ies in the area and It will become feas­ible to have a fully open and oper­a­tion­al hotel and pub again…..

I myself live on Kirk Road and have con­cerns about the traffic this devel­op­ment will cre­ate dur­ing con­struc­tion with heavy plant and lor­ries. I would ask the plan­ning teams to dis­cuss with the developer about look­ing at the access to the site from the water treat­ment side via the bridge at the traffic lights. The sur­face at Kirk road to A95 junc­tion is poor and will only get worse with heavy use. I would also ask that there is traffic restric­tions put in place for deliv­er­ies to site as clearly this is a res­id­en­tial area and the only access will be from Crom­dale Vil­lage via A95 as the bridge over the river has a weight lim­it due to the con­di­tion of the bridge.

How­ever, there has been no hous­ing avail­able at the time of my search that suits my require­ments. This devel­op­ment has giv­en me some­thing to aim for in my search and I look for­ward to being able to pur­chase a house in an ideal location.
