I refer to the above plan­ning applic­a­tion sub­mit­ted by CHT for afford­able housing/​plots in Boat of Garten.

The ori­gin­al think­ing behind this even­tu­al applic­a­tion came from a wide ran­ging com­munity con­sulta­tion which iden­ti­fied the need for a great­er stock of afford­able hous­ing in the loc­al­ity. That need still stands and is prob­ably, in fact, even great­er now.

We note that some con­cerns have been raised by loc­al res­id­ents. We are assum­ing that CHT will work with these object­ors to reach mutu­ally accept­able conclusions.

Boat of Garten Com­munity Coun­cil sup­ports this plan­ning application.
