Hello Dot, Thankyou for sending through the revised plan for these ‘skyscrapers’ at the south side of Aviemore. This has always been a quiet and lovely approach into the village. As you can tell I still object to these massive structure. It will cause increase of traffic and most of all harm to the environment and wildlife. This part of Aviemore has always quiet and now that will be gone forever as well.
In its place we get 28 flats most of which will be bought as second homes and holiday lets. At least 50 more cars to polute and damage the environment. We can look forward to another busy street with four less flats than previously put forward for development, gee whizz!!
These are massive structures and far exceed the height of my block. The artist impression doesnt even draw the correct trees, which will not matter as more will go than need to.
I understand that the developer would like to use the land for housing but smaller houses would be more in keeping with Aviemore. This is a National park which we are fortunate enough to live in. Sadly it is being over developed and all for a fast buck with no regard for the wildlife and environment. Once these structures are built it opens the floodgates for more and more to come. Shame on you developers.

I refer to the above application which you commented on previously. We have now received a revised package of information from the applicants’ agents which is available on our website. This reduces the number of units from 32 to 28, removes the biomass heating unit, retains more trees and revises the parking layout slightly. Revised arboricultural information, design statement and overview planning statement have been included along with comparison site plan and elevation plan highlighting the original submission in red.
