Com­ment Details Com­menter Type: Mem­ber of Pub­lic Stance: Cus­tom­er made com­ments in sup­port of the Plan­ning Applic­a­tion Com­ment Reas­ons: Comment:It is my belief that this applic­a­tion greatly improves on the pre­vi­ous applic­a­tion for these premises and in par­tic­u­lar, giv­en the clar­ity that the flats will be designed and used for short term hol­i­day occu­pa­tion, the design max­im­ises the space avail­able without det­ri­ment­al impact on the front­age, improves the front and rear aspects of the build­ing and provides gen­er­ally adequate space and lay­out for the inten­ded pur­pose. The pro­vi­sion of eight car park­ing spaces for eight flats with­in the car­til­age of the prop­erty seems appro­pri­ate since it would not nor­mally be expec­ted that two sep­ar­ate fam­il­ies in sep­ar­ate vehicles might occupy a single flat, though there is always the occa­sion­al pos­sib­il­ity. One query, how­ever, is that from the plans, I can­not ascer­tain if any one of the ground floor flats is in fact suit­able for dis­abled occu­pa­tion, includ­ing dis­ab­il­ity com­pli­ant door­ways and bath­room. Cla­ri­fic­a­tion of this point for at least one flat would be help­ful. The devel­op­ment over­all should con­trib­ute to the eco­nom­ic well-being of Kingussie.
