As public transport on Deeside is being run down local villages are becoming isolated and the local communities will stagnate but with this type of developement on their doorstep it will encourage young people to stay in the area. It will also provide an outlet for local artisan producers which in turn will provide more local employement. It will provide local produced fresh fruit and veg which is sorely lacking on Deeside. It will provide a community space /café for local and tourists to meet in an area slightly off the beaten track of the A93.

It’s vital there are also dog welcoming places like this, it makes such a difference while walking in the area knowing there’s a dog friendly welcoming café nearby for coffee and cakes or a nutritious lunch. I hope the Cairngorms National Park see how this facility will add to the area and benefit many.

To have an organic farm that grows fruit and vegetables and a farm shop providing locally sourced produce is great for the environment and local economy. The farm shop will provide additional jobs in the local area. The design of the building is in keeping with the environment and ethos of the business. With nothing like this within the area, I’m sure this business will attract tourists and locals.

Comment Details Commenter Type: Member of Public Stance: Customer made comments in support of the Planning Application Comment Reasons: Comment:As a regular traveller around the North-East with family, I very much support this application on the basis that there is a need for quality café’s, farm shops, and attractions that will create employment and economic benefits to the wider community. Indeed, I support ventures that are inviting to the family where we can take our dog to enjoy hospitality in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Given the success of similar businesses in other parts of the country, there is a clear benefit to the wider area and communities with increased visitor numbers ensuring other local attractions & businesses benefit financially. Having such a service would definitely encourage me and many others to travel to that region to socialise, and perhaps stay over, further supporting other local businesses.

Comment Details Commenter Type: Member of Public Stance: Customer made comments in support of the Planning Application Comment Reasons: Comment: This is an attractive and popular area on the periphery of the Grampians. There are a number of attractions in the area e.g. the Burn o’Vat and Loch Kinnord which have no supporting facilities in the neighbourhood. This well conceived venture should be welcomed as a sympathetic addition to the locale.

Emma Greenlees From: Sent: To: Subject: Categories: Planning; Dave Murray APP/2023/1235 Comments, Emma G Dear Sir/Madam,

Erection of Farmshop/Café/Staff Accommodation and Shed and Installation of Free Standing Solar Panels and Associated Works | Land Adjacent To Carrue Cottage Logie Coldstone Aboyne APP/2023/1235

We write with regard to the above application. We are aware that it has been called into the the CNPA. As owners of a property nearby we are very supportive of the proposal and feel that it will have a positive impact on the area and is a welcome addition to the community. At present there is no local shop with the original village shop closing many years ago. Residents of the area need to travel to Aboyne and Ballater to get provisions and meet friends and family. There are many elderly residents who rely on a very sporadic bus service to get to these amenities which is not ideal. It will also serve as a place for residents to meet up with out having to travel by car as well as providing regular daytime opening hours.

In addition, there are numerous self catering properties including bothies and cabins that this business will provide a service for. It will encourage tourists staying in the area to spend their money locally and increase the attraction of the area to all other visiting tourists.

In short we are 100% in favour of this application and would be grateful if CNPA would consider it as a fantastic potential asset to a very rural community.

Yours faithfully, 1

The addition of EV charging points is a good idea and the fact that they have considered the local area in all their proposals clearly shows how they are committed to making this work. I look forward to visiting it.
