This document contains a planning application submitted to the Cairngorms National Park Authority (Park Authority) for the erection of holiday apartments at Land West Of Cairngorm Hotel, Aviemore. The Park Authority is being asked to approve the planning application with conditions and a developer contribution. The application site is within the MacDonald Highland Resort and covers 0.43 hectares. The proposal is to construct 18 self-catering apartments in one building, and an existing building is proposed to be demolished. A Habitat Regulations Appraisal was undertaken and the Park Authority Ecology Officer confirmed the appraisal was required. The Park Authority Landscape Officer commented on the latest version of the scheme which stated that it must complement and enhance the landscape character of the site. Aviemore Community Council objected to the scheme. The application is being recommended for approval subject to the payment of developer contribution for Active Travel, and several conditions are required for planning permissions in principle.
