This document contains a proposal to erect a substation and install a buried 11kV cable connecting a powerhouse to a substation at Glen Muick, Ballater, Aberdeenshire. Mr Richard Gledson is the applicant, and the application was called in on 11 March 2019. The planning manager, Emma Wilson, recommends approval, subject to conditions. The site is within the Birkhall Estate, near the River Muick, and includes part of the River Dee Special Area of Conservation (SAC). The Cairngorms National Park Authority (CNPA) Ecology Officer is satisfied with the submitted information, including species protection plans, and the CNPA concludes that the development complies with local policies, with appropriate mitigation.
