Dear whom it may concern,
I am writing to you in regards to a letter we received in the post in regards to erection of 3 flats, omission of 3 houses, relocation of footpath and associated works (amendment to 05/00209/REMBS).
I just have a few issues with this that I would like to bring to your attention. One them being this site is right outside my living room window, and would not like to have to look onto houses and flats. Secondly, the extortionate prices of these properties. Thirdly, my fear is that all these houses are not going to be bought by people in the community, these houses that I will be surrounded by will either be holiday homes, and B&B’s.
This land should be used for affordable housing so people of the local villages are able to buy a property, which would have a positive impact on the council as well, maybe so many people wouldn’t be so dependent on council housing. And when people desperately require a council house, there would be accommodation available.
Between Cromdale, right through to Aviemore, there is no affordable housing being built, no houses to rent anywhere, the only houses/flats being built around the area are £200,xxx plus.
We have recently bought this property, and we bought the property knowing that we would be surrounded by houses and flats. I understand that houses and flats need to be built, but as stated previously my concern is these aren’t going to be bought by the local community.
We found it very difficult to buy this property as first time buyers, and the more people I speak to of the younger generation, trying to get onto the property ladder, it enrages me that we are surrounded by ridiculously priced housing.
I am also concerned that building so many brand new properties around this area will have a negative impact on the future sale of our property.
I am not one for complaining in regards to the noise of the site etc, that is to be expected. But I am not happy with the fact there’s a designated car park, yet quite a few vehicles are parked right outside our living room window. I just feel that this is invading my personal space. I dont have my blinds open during the day as I am uncomfortable with the fact that people are able to see into my windows whilst going back to their vehicles.
If any of these issues are required to be raised with Tulloch Homes LTD, please advise. If you wish to discuss these issues further, please contact me via email or by phone on
Thank you for taking the time to read my email and my concerns.
Kind Regards,
