I would like to shed some light on the planning application by the owner of Dunachton Estates for a change of use of the A9 compound to light industrial units.

The owner, John Forbes Leith, joined the Community Council at the time the compound was created. Under the auspices of the Community Council, he composed a survey to the residents of Kincraig. This survey asked whether they were in favour of the change of use. It is said that he had a negative response. The results of the survey were never disclosed strangely enough.

I wrote to the Planning Enforcement Officer in Inverness enquiring why the site was never returned to agricultural use as per the planning consent. He gave a non-committal reply. The site had been given a light covering of soil over 2

the concrete platforms for the huts. The sewage pipes were left open and the electrical connection board abandoned. There was a deliberate flouting of the planning consent. I hope that these points are raised at the enquiry. Yours sincerely, 3
