APP/2021/ TYPE OF APPLIC­A­TION: Con­ver­sion and replace­ment of former farm Build­ings into hol­i­day accom­mod­a­tion and multi-use space. The plans for the above were con­sidered by the South Aber­deen­shire Access Pan­el on Thursday 18^th March 2021 The Pan­el has the fol­low­ing comments:-

Car Park: There should be a suit­able sur­face from the car park in accord­ance with trans­fer by manu­al wheel­chair tak­ing into account the topo­graphy of the ground.

Dis­abled toi­let: Please refer to BS8300 for spe­cific­a­tions and col­our contrast.

As you may be aware, UK wide, dis­abled people have a dis­pos­able income of £50 Bil­lion and loc­al exper­i­ence indic­ates that their friends and rel­at­ives also favour busi­nesses that are favour­able towards dis­abled people. We respect­fully request that con­sid­er­a­tion is giv­en to the recom­mend­a­tions above to ensure your devel­op­ment can bene­fit from this sig­ni­fic­ant mar­ket sector.

The com­ments are addi­tion­al to the require­ments of the Build­ing Stand­ards Veri­fi­er and are to assist you in work­ing towards meet­ing your duties under The Equal­ity Act 2010. The Pan­el asks that their com­ments are giv­en due consideration.
