If approved it will reg­u­lar­ise a situ­ation which has been occur­ing on an ad hoc basis for many years. Motorhomers are more self con­tained than cara­van­ners and tend to have short­er stays and then move on. As both a cara­van­ner and motorhomer I would nev­er con­sider wild camp­ing in the cara­van and as a motorhomer I rarely stay on com­mer­cial sites. I would expect this facil­ity to have little effect on any com­mer­cial sites in the val­ley. I wel­come the pro­vi­sion of a chem­ic­al dis­pos­al point, hope­fully with its own rins­ing tap with a seper­ate tap for filling fresh water tanks. From the site plan I see seper­ate pitches are pro­posed for motorhomes and camper­vans. Some camper­vans can be lar­ger than motorhomes. Most but not all are self con­tained. If all pitches were avail­able for all vans it seems to me that man­ag­ment would be much sim­pler. I hope the applic­a­tion is suc­cess­ful I would cer­tainly be using it and its facilities.

How­ever, when you look at the Site Lay­out Plan details, this shows the Camper­van park­ing sec­tion as a secur­ity fenced off area, beside the Helipad, that will only be in oper­a­tion from 1^st May until 31^st Octo­ber. Well out­side his ​‘Ski­ers usage’.
