If approved it will regularise a situation which has been occuring on an ad hoc basis for many years. Motorhomers are more self contained than caravanners and tend to have shorter stays and then move on. As both a caravanner and motorhomer I would never consider wild camping in the caravan and as a motorhomer I rarely stay on commercial sites. I would expect this facility to have little effect on any commercial sites in the valley. I welcome the provision of a chemical disposal point, hopefully with its own rinsing tap with a seperate tap for filling fresh water tanks. From the site plan I see seperate pitches are proposed for motorhomes and campervans. Some campervans can be larger than motorhomes. Most but not all are self contained. If all pitches were available for all vans it seems to me that managment would be much simpler. I hope the application is successful I would certainly be using it and its facilities.

However, when you look at the Site Layout Plan details, this shows the Campervan parking section as a security fenced off area, beside the Helipad, that will only be in operation from 1st May until 31st October. Well outside his ‘Skiers usage’.
