Dear Sirs, Before going fur­ther I would like to state that the applic­ant Don­ald (Don­nie) Black is a mem­ber of this com­munity coun­cil, he has how­ever taken no part what­so­ever in this discussion.

The Nethy Bridge and Vicin­ity Com­munity Coun­cil are fully sup­port­ive of this application.

In recent years and in par­tic­u­lar this last year since the onset of Cov­id-19 many areas of Strath­spey includ­ing Nethy Bridge have seen a huge increase in the num­ber of motorhomes mak­ing the most of our envir­on­ment. There has been how­ever a huge short­age of suit­able overnight stances for these vehicles with many being parked in inap­pro­pri­ate sites and also dis­pos­ing of their efflu­ent in a very incon­sid­er­ate man­ner. It will be much easi­er to ask own­ers to move from inap­pro­pri­ate loc­a­tions if there are prop­er facil­it­ies available.

The Nation­al Park Author­ity have them­selves been try­ing the alle­vi­ate this grow­ing prob­lem which every­body thinks could be exacer­bated this com­ing season.

This applic­a­tion will help to alle­vi­ate this prob­lem as we believe many motorhome own­ers will go to a site such as this with prop­er waste dis­pos­al if it is avail­able. It will also bring some addi­tion­al busi­ness to the loc­al community.

We have had two com­ments, one being con­cerned with future exten­sion and a second ask­ing that the facil­ity is sign­posted thus avoid­ing vehicles get­ting lost and driv­ing up wrong roads.

We there­fore encour­age you to approve this application.

Thank you for the new consultation.

We would like to reaf­firm our full sup­port for this applic­a­tion as we feel it will provide a much needed ser­vice in the loc­al com­munity by remov­ing many of the inap­pro­pri­ately parked camper vans which have in recent years become all too com­mon around the area.

We would ask that this is dealt with as quickly as pos­sible so that the devel­op­ment can be up and run­ning in time for next years tour­ist season.
