COMMUNITY COUNCIL COMMENTS

SUBMISSION ON WOODLAND BUILDING — 2019/0386/NOT

C&VCC have grave reservations about this application. Whilst we acknowledge the degree of planning, research and detail contained in the submission, which would improve the well-being of that specific woodland area, we feel that approval could lead to a plethora of similarbuilding applications, a move which we feel would be detrimental to the woodland environment and to capercaillie viability. We are surprised at the apparent approval given by RSPB, being of the opinion that development of this type is contrary to the aims and objectives of the CNPA-sponsored Capercaillie Group”, a project which we believe receives majority support in the village.

Any small building required for the development and preparation of seeds etc could surely be accomodated in the vicinity within Carrbridge, thereby obviating the requirement to have any structure within the woodland environment.
