Kingussie Community Action Plan 2025

This document contains the Kingussie Community Action Plan Consultation results, looking ahead to 2030, compiled in winter 2024 and published in spring 2025. The Kingussie & Vicinity Community Council, along with other local groups, reviewed the town's community action plan to tackle current issues and identify new projects based on resident suggestions. Voluntary Action in Badenoch & Strathspey supported the community-led steering group, which surveyed residents to gather their views on key questions, also ensuring the survey was inclusive and accessible. The consultation period involved gathering information, sorting data, involving people and refining ideas, and finally, creating the Community Action Plan document. The consultation process adhered to the National Standards for Community Engagement. Results from the surveys showed what people liked about living in Kingussie, what changes they would like to see, and what new projects they want for the area, categorized into social, environmental, economic, and cultural themes. The plan also identifies spatial priorities and next steps for delivery, emphasizing a collaborative approach with a "Team Kingussie" to implement the plan, along with continuous community engagement and monitoring.
