Performance Paper 6 - Cairngorms Trust and CLLD update

This document contains an update on the work of the Cairngorms Trust and the Cairngorms National Park Authority (referred to as the Park Authority) on Community Led Local Development (CLLD) activities. It shows that the previous LEADER Programme successfully closed with 95% spend, while annual funding for CLLD, at around £400,000, now approaches past LEADER levels, though future multi-year funding for community projects remains uncertain. The partnership's approach to CLLD, including initiatives like the Youth Local Action Group, is highlighted as an exemplar, but efforts to increase voluntary giving are proving challenging. Despite some public finance constraints and the need to secure match funding, strategic risks are currently being managed, and the Cairngorms Trust, working with the Park Authority, has played a leading role in creating a national CLLD network.
