Ramar sites consultation response

This document contains the Cairngorms National Park Authority's response to a consultation about Ramsar sites (wetlands of international importance). The Park Authority supports giving Ramsar sites the same protection as European sites when considering new plans or projects. They believe this consistent approach will simplify processes, remove confusion, and provide clarity for everyone involved. However, they also feel that the current system of designated sites could hinder the National Park's goals for nature restoration and a more resilient ecosystem, and they'd like to see a more flexible approach to protecting biodiversity that allows for necessary changes in the landscape.
