This document contains important guidelines for enjoying the Cairngorms National Park responsibly and protecting its special environment. To prevent wildfires and safeguard unique wildlife, there's a seasonal fire ban from 1 April to 30 September, meaning no campfires or barbecues are allowed; if you need to cook, please use a gas stove. When exploring, keep your dog on a short lead, especially between April and August in areas with ground-nesting birds, and always avoid disturbing farm animals. It's crucial to leave no trace of your visit by camping away from sensitive areas, packing out all your rubbish, and moving on after a few nights. For hygiene, use public toilets when available, or if not, go at least 30 meters from any water sources, burying solid waste and taking your toilet paper with you. When on the water, please respect wildlife and other users by giving them space and avoiding nesting areas. By following these simple rules, you can help keep the Cairngorms National Park beautiful for everyone.
