Flooding in Royal Deeside

Flooding in Royal Deeside
Storm Frank brought devastation to the Deeside area of the Cairngorms National Park. There has been widespread flooding and damage to homes, business and the road infrastructure, with many routes impassable. Our thoughts are with all those affected by the flooding.
Our Ballater office, which we share with Visit Scotland, is open as usual and free wifi is available there from 10am – 5pm.
The situation on the ground is changing all the time but regular updates and details about road closures can be found at https://online.aberdeenshire.gov.uk/apps/news
For the latest information about paths and bridges that have been affected in the Park, view our Outdoor Access Advice page
Police Scotland are also issuing updates on Twitter, you can follow them at PolScotRoadsNE
If you would like to offer practical support in the coming weeks you can join the volunteers list and Aberdeenshire Council will call upon people when required. You can add your name to the list by emailing your details to [email protected]
