Creatives connect people to nature and place with autumn workshop series

Explore your artistic side with the launch of a series of free creative workshops across the Cairngorms National Park celebrating our cultural heritage this autumn.

From Gaelic dance to carving pots, leather working to nature writing – there is something for everyone. You don't need any previous experience, come along to try something new at a workshop where everyone is welcome.

Sharing their craft and expertise with the local community, the workshops are designed and run by Cairngorms based artists and creatives, all of them members of the newly formed Cairngorms Creative Collective. Formed as part of our Cairngorms 2030 programme, the collective brings together the National Park’s creative community to run and promote activities that create a greater connection to our landscapes and foster a sense of place.

With an eclectic mix to try, the workshops all weave together with the celebration of dùthchas - a Gaelic word which encompasses ideas of kinship, heritage and connections between nature, people and place.

The workshops are made possible by our Cairngorms 2030 programme, working across nature, community empowerment, sustainable transport and health and wellbeing to make the National Park a better place to live, work and visit.

The free workshops run throughout the autumn and you can book your tickets through Eventbrite.

Cairngorms 2030 is supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to players of the National Lottery.

There is an ongoing wildfire situation in Glenmore and Strath Nethy within the Cairngorms National Park.
