Glenmore corridor to reopen on Friday 7 August at 8am
The news that the Glenmore corridor will open tomorrow - Friday 7 August - at 8am is welcome news for businesses and visitors alike.
Whilst businesses in the Glenmore area prepare to welcome visitors back, some areas directly impacted by the fire will continue to be fenced off and restricted for safety. The Park Authority are working with Forestry and Land Scotland and RSPB Scotland to ensure clear signage and fencing are in place. The below map has been created to help everyone see which paths and trails are closed for safety.

Grant Moir, Chief Executive at the Cairngorms National Park Authority, said: "I am really glad that the Glenmore corridor will reopen tomorrow. It is such great news for local businesses, communities and everyone looking forward to spending time in this special part of the National Park.
"This milestone has only been possible thanks to the huge effort of businesses, volunteers and partner organisations who have worked tirelessly to make the area safe and prepare for reopening. We look forward to welcoming visitors to Glenmore and encourage everyone to support local businesses as they continue on the road to recovery.
"I was also pleased that Scottish Government announced a £3 million support package for affected businesses this afternoon, which will help them recover some of the considerable losses they have experienced over the past three weeks."
Nethy Bridge is open and businesses there are welcoming visitors, although some roads near Abernethy forest (Forest Lodge access road, Lettoch Road and Dorback) will remain closed to allow operations to continue on the ground.
